Polka-dotted Nudibranch

With its adorable ear-like rhinophores, white body and fuzzy look, the polka-dotted nudibranch looks like a little white rabbit with black spots! Its whole body is covered in tiny hair-like bristles that give it a soft, fluffy appearance.

It is believed to feed on sponges, including the blue jorunna sponge. Sometimes, the polka-dotted nudibranch even lays its long, ribbony egg masses near the blue jorunna sponge. If you happen to see one near a sponge during your intertidal walks, try to observe it for a while to see what it does!
