Cushion Sea Star

The cushion star looks like a fluffy pillow! When it is flipped upside down, it can puff itself up like a bouncy ball and let the waves roll it back upright!

Cushion stars feed on corals, algae and other organisms. By consuming algae, cushion stars help to prevent algae overgrowth, keeping our coral reefs healthy and full of biodiversity!
