Reef Octopus

The reef octopus is a fascinating creature! It can change the colour and texture of its skin in the blink of an eye to camouflage itself with its surroundings, scare away prey or even communicate with its fellow reef octopuses!

Besides changing its appearance like a chameleon, the reef octopus can also contort its body into many interesting shapes and positions. This amazing animal can flatten its body into a pancake shape, curl itself up tightly into a ball, or even make itself look huge and menacing by spreading out and extending its long arms!
