Big-head Seagrass Octopus

With its huge head, which is half the size of its arms, the big-head seagrass octopus looks a bit top-heavy! Despite the size of its head, it can easily squeeze itself into tiny nooks and crannies such as the empty shells of dead snails and clams. These tight spaces provide safe homes and hiding places for the octopus!

The big-head seagrass octopus has even been spotted hiding inside abandoned human litter such as empty glass bottles and containers. Although this octopus is resourceful enough to turn our trash into its treasure, please do not litter on the shore! Broken glass bottles can injure both people and animals, and our litter can pollute the ocean!
