Bottle-brush Brittle Star

The arms of the bottle-brush brittle star are covered in long but blunt spines, which stick out from and run along the entire length of their arms. This makes this brittle star look like a bottle brush, giving the animal its common name! This energetic brittle star is nocturnal and will flee from the light when a torchlight is shone at it.
