Red Feather Star

With its striking red colouration, the red feather star is certainly a sight to behold! We are incredibly blessed to have this beauty on our shores!

Red feather stars can sometimes house tiny, bright red shrimp, which camouflage perfectly with their feather star home. Not only do the dense “feathers” of the red feather star provide protection from predators, they may also trap food particles which their shrimp friends can then feed on!
